Update: I should point out, too, that I did not take these pictures. They were taken by a fan of my work who is an artist...and who happens to own a human skull.

Sometimes the minivan of fate collides with the tourist bus of destiny and the result is something completely unpredictable and yet totally right. Like, for example, the pictures below.

Yes, that's Kyra (in pocket-convenient minimate form) and that is an honest-to-God human skull. Seems sort of appropriate, doesn't it? (Er, I point out here that this is not a skull in my possession. I do not have random human body parts lying around the house, no matter what the subject of my new series.)

I was going to ramble here about the weird perfection of this particular photo-shoot, but you know what? The pictures speak for themselves.
