Every Monday -- whether you need it or not -- I post cool, absurd, and/or awesome panels from comic books I read as a kid. This is Memory Monday.

Memory Monday - Behind the Mask...!

Posted on: 10/03/11

Flash's lawyer--

(Wait. Let me explain. The year is 1984 and Barry Allen -- the Flash -- is on trial for manslaughter after killing his arch-nemesis, Professor Zoom, in order to save Barry's fiance's life. Now back to Memory Monday.)

--decides to rip off his mask in the middle of his trial, thus revealing his secret identity to the world. With friends like this, etc.?

Flash mask

(Spoiler alert: It's all good. Turns out Flash had taken the precaution of having his face radically altered by a race of super-intelligent gorillas. Because it's comics and he can.)

(From The Flash #345, May 1985. Written by Cary Bates. Art by Carmine Infantino and Frank McLaughlin.)
